Honestly, I've become terrible fabric hoarder. I can't stop myself from picking up fabric if it is cheap...I justify it by telling myself that I can use them to make charity quilts. While I have made a couple for Project Linus and I am in a charity bee, there is no way I would ever have enough time to ever make enough charity quilts to use up all of the fabrics I've accumulated. As such, I have been considering doing some purging and it worked out perfectly when I read about this:
Here are my fuglies:
Can't tell you much about these except that they are pretty drab and I believe some are vintage. On the off chance you might actually want these, please leave me a comment telling me so (please make sure that I have a way to contact you). On the even more off chance there is more than one person who is interested (HA), I will draw a name randomly.
Edit: For second chance to win, it would be great if you could become a follower and tell me you have done so...my blog is new and it would be nice to know I am not just talking to myself :)
Since a few people have shown interest I will be doing a draw, on Feb 13 (my b-day) :)
if you cut something up small enough and combine it with the right fabrics.... Kind of my mantra. At least that is what I say to myself when I look at some of my fuglies.
ReplyDeleteI am stash building so I am always grateful for anything, but I live in France so not sure if you would post International. Linda
ReplyDeleteI'd love to add those to my stash to make my 365 houses this year. Thanks for the chance to win. LOve the bowls in the pic in your profile pic!
ReplyDeleteI don't think these are fugly - I'd be more than happy to re home them :)
ReplyDeleteI actually like them :) like kathy said would make great houses and I really like the yellow blue, would pay postage as I'm in France :) have a good day
ReplyDeleteI would be happy to give these a good home!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see a fabric, my mind starts turning--- I see it as patches in a pieced quilt pattern, or as pieces for applique... maybe even trim or ruffles on a little girl's dress... those "fuglies" are perfect for so many things!! The bottom 4 could work as blenders, I think--- or they'd be cute for Sunbonnet Sue's dress or bonnet... and the top piece (is it black--looks black on my monitor)-- would come in handy, as I'm collecting blacks for a Bouillabaisse quilt! Please add my name to the hat! Thank you !! :-)
ReplyDeleteI could easily use the blues in the middle I think!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the UK, hope i can enter! I'd love a chance to win as I too am stashbuilding. Thank you :o)
ReplyDeleteI will give these fuglies a good home, and love them and nurture them and let them make friends with my fuglies in my stash.... and then one day I will join them all together in one big united fugly quilt! x
ReplyDeleteI actually like most of these fabrics!
ReplyDeleteThey would have a great new home with me.
I think the yellow one looks quite sweet! I'd love them!
ReplyDeleteAt least you are lucky enough to have a stash even though it contains some fuglies .. I would love to add them to my one bag of fabric this and thats. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI would love that yellow print. I have some fugly fabric too...I'll have to dig it out tomorrow and see what I come up with. =) Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how we are all only too happy to take in someone else's unwanted fabric? I'd give your fuglies a happy home!
ReplyDeleteHa! I agree with goose, if it's small enough! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway. They are not that fugly!

ReplyDeleteI am a follower. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteGotta tell you -- I LOVE the black and white! I think the yellow background with the blue or grey has big possibilities....it is so funny that what we hate someone else loves, and vice versa. I have discovered that the REALLY bad fabric for quilting is the stuff that nobody loves and nobody hates....it just sort of sits there and is ignored.
